FAQ's

Where are you located?
-1480 Hwy M, Sedalia, MO 65301

What are your hours?
-Mon-Fri 7:30am-10:30pm and 2:00pm-5:00pm. Sat-Sun 8:00am-10:30am and 2:00pm-4:30pm. Closed daily from 11:00am-2:00pm.
How do I schedule?
-You can message on Facebook, call or text 660.596.3903, email us at barkhouse.sedalia@gmail.com, or book online.
Where do I park?
-Anywhere! Our drive is a free-for all. We just ask that you don't pull straight in or block the entrance.
What do I do when I arrive?
-We should hear you pull in and meet you outside, but if we do not acknowledge you in a timely manner, please call. Sometimes we appear through the front and sometimes we appear through the back. It depends on what the day brings us!
Do you offer dog training?
-No, we are not trainers and do not have a trainer on hand. We recommend Amy Gibbs at Mutts, Manners, and More in Windsor.
Do you offer dog grooming?
-Bark House offers dog bathing and select grooming services but we do not trim or cut hair. However, we do groom cats. If you're looking for a professional dog groomer, book separately with Chelsey at Divine Canine Dog Grooming, LLC upstairs at Bark House.

How does pricing work?
-Bark House charges nightly for boarding, not per day or per 24 hours. That's up to 33.5 hours for $40 if you check in as early as open and check out as late as close the next day. You are charged per night regardless of drop off or pick up time, so checking in during the AM session and checking out during the PM session is the best deal. This way, there are no early or late fees. You're charged each night the dogs stays and that's it.
DOG BOARDING

When can I drop off and pick up?
-Anytime during our AM or PM sessions, but please keep us updated so we know when to expect you. Dogs cannot be picked up or dropped off from 11:00am-2:00pm, no exceptions. This is a mandatory no-disturbances break for the kennel.
I'm running late, can I pick up after hours?
-No. Your dog will be kenneled for the night and can be picked up anytime during operating hours the following day for one boarding charge instead of two days of daycare.

What if it's only 10 minutes?
-YOU may be running 10 minutes behind, but another is running 15, and another is running 20. If we accommodated late arrivals, we would be stuck there all night. Please make yourself familiar with our opening and closing times or make other arrangements for your dog to be retrieved.
Do I need to check-in anywhere or fill anything out in person?
-Nope! When you arrive, we automatically check you in. We are paperless. All needed paperwork is completed online prior to checking in.
Where will my pets stay while boarded?
-Dogs have the option of boarding in a 12x6 suite, 6x6 suite, 4x6 suite, or XL crate if they meet sizing requirements. We let dogs choose where they want to settle when able. At Bark House, you are charged by the care we provide and the education, experience, and certification we possess, not by the size of your dog or the size of the kennel.
How long are dogs let out during the day?
-Bark House is Sedalia's first free-roam kennel. Free roam means all dogs are out during the day and only kenneled when necessary, like during break and overnight.

How long are dogs kenneled?
-Dogs are kenneled for their mandatory cool-down from 11:00am-2:00pm daily (3 hours). They are then kenneled again from the time we close to the time we open the next day. Our operating ours do not signify the time we reach the kennel. Some days we pop in hours prior to opening and well after close.

Do you have cameras?
Yes! We have a few different Furbo cameras to check in on the dogs when needed.
How are dogs kenneled?
-Dogs are kenneled individually or with compatible family members. Your dog will never be kenneled with another person's dog.
Do you accept in-tact males and females?
-Yes, but females in heat cannot check-in or remain at Bark House if coming into heat while visiting.
How old do puppies and kittens have to be to attend?
-16 weeks old to the day with the required vaccinations.
Do you accept dogs that aren't social?
-Yes! We have plenty of space for different personalities and playstyles. Dogs that do not get along with other dogs are simply rotated throughout the day and still benefit the same.
Do you accept dogs with disabilities?
-Yes! We have multiple 3-legged dogs, epileptic dogs, blind dogs, diabetic dogs, and more.
Do you administer medication?
-Yes, as long as it can be administered during operating hours. We are trained and comfortable at administering oral, topical, and aural medications as well as SQ injections.
Do you have a fridge to store cold items?
-Yes, we have a mini fridge capable of storing refrigerated dog food and medications.

Can I see where my dog will stay or play?
-Absolutely! We are open books. But there's a catch. Any visits to our kennel need to be scheduled in advance and cannot be done at drop off or pick up. We are a free roam kennel, so dogs are roaming the kennel all day. When we allow visits, we not only have to place dogs one place or another, it takes away from their allotted free roam time and ultimately the service their owners are paying for. You wouldn't like to find out dogs were kenneled the entire day because there was one visit after another, right? That's just not how Bark House works, so you will have to see our kennel prior to dropping off or picking up. This is one reason why we post Facebook videos daily, so you can see where the dogs are at in case you didn't get to see the kennel.
